To this II Biennale of Sculpture, every author can introduce only one work of free theme and in definitive material. The dimensions cannot be superior to 1,8 meters neither inferior to 60 cm. The material will have to be suitable for the exhibition of the work at open air, therefore, resistant to the bad weather, like stone in its various qualities, iron or similar, or wood of good quality.

First prize of Euro 3.000. Two other prizes of Euro 900.

Deadline: May 16 th 2010

Every artist can participate to this V Competition of Painting and Figurative Sculpture 2010 with only one work, original and unpublished. Theme and technique are free, in the formality of Figurative Art. Minimum dimensions of 60x60 cm. and maximum of 300x200 cm. in Painting. The works must not be framed or they will have to be framed only by a simple wood crossbar. On the back of the works, the title of the work and the name and last name of the author must be specified. About the sculpture, the maximum dimensions will be of 200 cm. in any side (without counting the base) and the minimum will be of 50 cm, without limit of weight. The sculptures must be realized in definitive material. First prize for the painting of Euro 36.000. First prize for the sculpture of Euro 44.000.

120.000 Euro for the acquisition of other works.

Guidelines

All entries go through a selection process. The competition is judged solely by visuals submitted on-line as Jpeg [.JPG] attachment. Numbers of entries: 6 - 12 works / image files submitted on-line to: submit@artoteque.com.
The Selection
The screening is free and is conducted by review on 6 - 12 Jpeg [.JPG] of 72 dpi up to 700 pixels image files versions of the submitted works inline or attachment along the works details -title, year, medium, size, price. Submitters whose entries pass the screening are included in competition and are requested the participation fee payment.

Participation Fee
Submitters whose pass the screening will be requested the competition fee. There is a US$ 80 / EUR 50 entry fee for 6 works. and US$ 15 / EUR 10 for each additional work. Payment by Direct Transfer on account, by Money Order, by PayPal, by Western Union.

Awards
63 prize-winners will be awarded.
- Grand Prize. Award value EUR 4,900: One Artists will be awarded two-page spreads in ART IN VOGUE, a quality collective art book for collectors, galleries, museums, dealers and art lovers.
- Award of Distinction. Award value EUR 2,450: Two Artists will be awarded one-page in ART IN VOGUE, a quality collective art book for collectors, galleries, museums, dealers and art lovers.
- Honorable Award. 60 Artists will be selected for Diploma of Excellence.

Jury
The competition will be conducted in two rounds: preliminary and final assessment. Only works that pass the preliminary judging will advance to the final round. Judging Panel: Andrea Pagnez, art critic, fine artist, editor, curator (Venice Biennial), Florence; Marta Dimitrescu, fine artist, Artoteque.com director, editor, London.

Size and Works to be received
In order to complete the inclusion you may submit as attachments or on-line 6 ~ 12 works /JPG s image files 72 dpi up to 700 pix (21x21 cm /8,3x8,3) and the works details: title, year, technique, size and price All submissions must be mailed to submit@artoteque.com.

Exhibition period
The event will run one-year beginning with the date of the inclusion.

Deadlines
The earlier the better. The inclusions are in progress. Participants must affirm that submitted works are the original creation of the applicant, and that the participant holds all related copyrights and has not violated intellectual property rights.

XXI INTERCÂMBIO CULTURAL BRASIL x ITÁLIA


U.C.A.I. - União Católica de Artistas Italianos, com sede em Roma, através de seu representante no Brasil, Giovanni Nicotra, estará publicando a Antologia III, e organizando uma Exposição de Artes Plásticas na Galeria La Pina , no Vaticano com a participação de Artistas Plásticos e Poetas, com o propósito de realizar mais um Intercâmbio Cultural entre Italianos e Brasileiros.
Todos os poemas serão publicados em italiano e português e poderão ter como principal objetivo a criação de Obras de arte ou à partir do poema versejado.
A Antologia será lançada em Roma em Maio de 2010 durante o XXIX INTERCÂMBIO CULTURAL BRASIL x ITÁLIA, sendo constituída por um volume com aproximadamente 230 páginas ao Custo de Publicação de R$ 350,00 (Trezentos e cinquenta reais), a página para poesia ou foto da Obra do Artista. Cada participante receberá 03 (três) exemplares após o lançamento do livro.
O Intercâmbio terá a seguinte programação:
Dia 07 de maio de 2010 - sexta-feira
Chegada à Roma; Entrega das Obras*, prontas para exposição, entre 16:00 e 19:30 hs.
* A Obra poderá ser entregue pelo Próprio Artista ou Por Pessoa Responsável indicada pelo artista.
Dia 08 de maio de 2010 - sábado
Inauguração da Exposição, Lançamentos de Livros e entrega de CERTIFICADOS e DIPLOMAS, às 18h. no Centro Artístico Cultural da Galeria La Pigna , Território do Vaticano, na Santa Sede.
De 10 à 14 de maio de 2010 - Período da Exposição – Opcionais de turismo à Nápoles, Florença, etc.
Dia 15 de maio de 2010 - Encerramento da Exposição e Retirada das Obras* após às 19:00h
OBSERVAÇÕES:

1. O Artista (Artista Plástico/Poeta) que optar por viajar por conta própria pagará apenas o custo de participação na exposição;

2. É de responsabilidade do artista o check in no aeroporto, o excesso de bagagem, o transporte e a liberação das obras na alfândega;

3. Os escultores poderão expor duas obras de tamanho pequeno, que caibam na mala de mão utilizada no avião;
4. Os pintores poderão expor até 02 quadros de tamanho 33 x 46 cm ou 40 x 40 cm ;

5. No caso de venda da obra o valor integral apurado será de propriedade do artista; Não damos garantia de Venda da obra;

6. Todos os participantes deverão enviar seu Currículo com foto de uma Obra (não é necessário que seja a obra que irá participar da Exposição);

7. A Obra poderá ser doada à uma Instituição Cultural, onde a mesma se compromete a enviar à UCAI Filial BRASIL um CERTIFICADO de DOAÇÂO da OBRA para que seja entregue ao Artista;

Custo de Participação da Exposição na Galeria: R$ 900,00 (Novecentos reais);

Estarei organizando um grupo para a viagem de 20 pessoas (mínimo) para este Intercâmbio.

Opções de Hospedagem, Passagem Aérea, Seguro de Viagem - o custo promocional será de acordo com o número de participantes.
