A town hall in Spain announces its III water colour

competition.

All the national artists or foreigners can participate with

a maximum of two works for author, provided that they are

resident in the European union.

The theme of the work will be free and the used technique

will be the water colour.

Every participant can introduce a maximum of two works. The

works will have to be introduced, necessarily framed by a

wood bar, smooth, strong, of 4 cms. and protected by

metacrilato; protection with glass is not admitted. All the

costs of shipping and restitution of the works, to their

point of origin, will be paid by the organization. With the

selected works, an exhibition will be organized from the 1

to the 12 of September 2010 in the Exhibition Room of a

Museum, situated in the city.

Prize of 3.000 Euro gross and Diploma. The Jury will

announce its decision on July 30. The winning work will

remain ownership of the organization.

XXVIII PAINTING PRIZE - SPAIN

This International XXVIII Painting prize is a

prize-acquisition, open to artists of whatever nationality.

The available budget for the acquisition of art works in

this contest is of a maximum of 12.020 Euro. One purchase

will obligatorily be reserved to the work of a local artist

younger than 35 year-old.

Every author can introduce a maximum of two works to the

prize. The theme, technique and other plastic

characteristics are of free choice. The introduced works

won't have to exceed in any case the 2 meters in any

dimension while the minimum dimensions is of 100 x 81 cm.;

The works will have to arrive framed by a wood bar not

exceeding the 3 cms, and duly packed. Works protected by

glass won't be admitted. A travelling exhibition will be

organized and a catalogue will be realized with the winning

works and those selected by the jury. The acquired works

will remain property of the town hall.

Guidelines

All entries go through a selection process. The competition is judged solely by visuals submitted on-line as Jpeg [.JPG] attachment. Numbers of entries: 6 - 12 works / image files submitted on-line to: submit@artoteque.com.
The Selection
The screening is free and is conducted by review on 6 - 12 Jpeg [.JPG] of 72 dpi up to 700 pixels image files versions of the submitted works inline or attachment along the works details -title, year, medium, size, price. Submitters whose entries pass the screening are included in competition and are requested the participation fee payment.

Participation Fee
Submitters whose pass the screening will be requested the competition fee. There is a US$ 80 / EUR 50 entry fee for 6 works. and US$ 15 / EUR 10 for each additional work. Payment by Direct Transfer on account, by Money Order, by PayPal, by Western Union.

Awards
63 prize-winners will be awarded.
- Grand Prize. Award value EUR 4,900: One Artists will be awarded two-page spreads in ART IN VOGUE, a quality collective art book for collectors, galleries, museums, dealers and art lovers.
- Award of Distinction. Award value EUR 2,450: Two Artists will be awarded one-page in ART IN VOGUE, a quality collective art book for collectors, galleries, museums, dealers and art lovers.
- Honorable Award. 60 Artists will be selected for Diploma of Excellence.

Jury
The competition will be conducted in two rounds: preliminary and final assessment. Only works that pass the preliminary judging will advance to the final round. Judging Panel: Andrea Pagnez, art critic, fine artist, editor, curator (Venice Biennial), Florence; Marta Dimitrescu, fine artist, Artoteque.com director, editor, London.

Size and Works to be received
In order to complete the inclusion you may submit as attachments or on-line 6 ~ 12 works /JPG s image files 72 dpi up to 700 pix (21x21 cm /8,3x8,3) and the works details: title, year, technique, size and price All submissions must be mailed to submit@artoteque.com.

Exhibition period
The event will run one-year beginning with the date of the inclusion.

Deadlines
The earlier the better. The inclusions are in progress. Participants must affirm that submitted works are the original creation of the applicant, and that the participant holds all related copyrights and has not violated intellectual property rights.

CO.CO.CO. COMO CONTEMPORARY CONTEST 2010


CO.CO.CO. è un concorso d'arte per giovani artisti, promosso dall'Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Como, II edizione.


E' rivolto ad artisti che operano nell'ambito delle arti visive, di età compresa tra i 18 e i 32 anni, che parteciperanno con un'opera d'arte recente, senza vincoli di genere o tecnica.

Saranno selezionati 20 finalisti e tra di essi 1 vincitore, da parte di una giuria composta da: Mimmo di Marzio giornalista e critico d'arte, Giovanni Bonelli gallerista, Emma Gravagnuolo giornalista e critico d'arte, Renato Diez giornalista d'arte, Roberta Lietti gallerista, Vanni Cuoghi artista e Gianmaria Banfi collezionista.

I finalisti esporranno in una collettiva presso il Chiostrino di Sant'Eufemia di Como in giugno - luglio 2010.

Il vincitore riceverà un premio in denaro di 2.000 Euro e realizzerà una mostra personale nel mese di novembre 2010 presso San Pietro in Atrio, Como.

Novità di quest'anno, il Premio speciale Es.Co., con cui l'Assessorato alla Cultura si riserva la facoltà di selezionare un artista la cui opera verrà utilizzata come immagine guida per la campagna pubblicitaria di Es.Co. Estate a Como 2010, rassegna di concerti e spettacoli nelle piazze cittadine.
